Detailed information about Umbra Conceal Floating Bookshelf
The Conceal bookshelf is made of powder-coated steel making it sturdy but also giving it a very thin, light frame. The steel is shaped into an L so one panel can be mounted to the wall while the other hangs out. A book is then placed on top so that the ledge is between the last page and the back cover. The back cover is kept in place with two hooks underneath the ledge which gives the illusion that the book is now floating in space. Other books can then be placed on top until the mounted panel is completely hidden, further adding to this mystical illusion.
This product comes in two sizes: The Large Shelf which holds up to 20 pounds and the Small Shelf which holds up to 15 pounds. This way books can be stacked in different heights for a more interesting design and for optimizing organization. For an overall fantastic look and design, giving a gift of two or more would be the best option. This way the receiver can mount several of them in a more unified design allowing the look to be more balanced and enabling them to organize more books!
