It is good to hear the local weather forecast and whether rain and strong winds are expected. The radio is small and lightweight, extremely portable and will do the job perfectly. The radio is a multiband radio able to receive AM, FM, Shortwave, Weather and Aviation Bands. It is also a travel clock radio and has an alarm. The radio has an illuminated LCD display so the time and station can be seen. There is a rotary volume knob, bass and treble selector, stereo headphone jack and a sleep timer.

If using the two AA batteries alone then you can expect the radio to run for about 60 to 70 hours at a moderate volume. Remember that the radio does not come with batteries or the USB cable so you will have to supply those yourself.
