The Encyclopedia of Sandwiches: Recipes, History & Trivia
Sandwiches are often thought of as the ‘Poor Man’s Gastronomic delight’. Others think of sandwiches as essential knowledge if you live alone or have kids. This great book from Susan Russo, “The Encyclopedia of Sandwiches: Recipes, History, and Trivia for Everything Between Sliced Bread” is jam-packed with recipes for different kinds of sandwich.
But it doesn’t stop there, each recipe also has information surrounding the sandwich, such as when it was popular, how it got its name and other silly trivia.

This little book, by being inclusive, is making sure that all the sandwiches, no matter how simple, are being kept for posterity.
The book comes in two formats. One is as a paperback for those who like their recipe books in print and one is in a Kindle format for those who like their recipe books as an e-book. We know which one we would buy. It would have to be one that can be used in a post-apocalyptic world where Kindles can no longer be kept fully charged.
