Jack Johnson is one of America’s favorite singer-songwriters and musicians specializing in soft rock and acoustic folk. He suggests that his songwriting influences include Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Neil Young, and many more artists both well-known and not so well known.

The album “En Concert” is an album to buy anyone who likes acoustic soft rock music in general and Jack Johnson in particular. It is primarily a live album being recorded during various concerts while Johnson performed the “Sleep Through the Static World Tour” in 2008. 100% of the profits of this tour were donated to the Kokua Hawaii Foundation and the Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation and the album was released in October 2009. The album En Concert allows Johnson’s fans to listen to some of his finest performances while touring on the 2008 World Tour.

His musical style uses his baritone voice together with relaxed and laid back acoustic instruments especially his guitar. He sometimes uses other musical styles in his songs including reggae and hip-hop as well as using electric instruments to give fullness and a variation to his music.

He performed with Eddie Vedder at Bonnaroo, led a sing-along in Paris, performed at a festival at Outside Lands, and closed the show at Red Rocks. It is a combination of crowd favorites and some of Jack’s own favorite songs.
